RDL completed commissioning of the process plant on the 15th December 2011 by introducing gas from La-105 into the plant.

Gas was introduced to the export pipeline for purging and to pack the pipeline with gas.

On the 17th Dec, VOG delivers first commercial gas production on schedule.

VOG becomes the first onshore gas and condensate producer in Cameroon, supplying the industrial market.

 

Minor civils work continuing including fencing, concrete curing and flooring

While the plant is fully commissioned and operational, some minor civils work continues including fencing, painting and concrete flooring.  

 

Pipeline to first customer hub on the Magzi industrial Estate commissioned and operational on the 17th Dec 2011

Work on the Phase I gas distribution network to deliver gas to and around the Magzi Industrial Estate (total length of approximately 5.5km) commenced on the 15th July 2011. All pipeline to the first customer hub (Magzi) is now installed, backfilled and buried.

The entire existing network was hydro and pneumatically tested as part of the pre-commissioning process.

First gas was delivered to the customer site on the 17th December 2011.

Construction on the remainder of the Phase I pipeline continued through December

Pressure reduction and metering stations are being installed at each of the customer sites (the custody transfer point between RDL and the customer).

So far two PRMSs have been installed and commissioned on the Magzi estate and delivery of a further 7 PRMSs are expected shortly in country.
