VOG held the ‘inauguration ceremony’ to celebrate ground breaking on the 22nd June. This meeting was attended by many dignitaries and guests of honour. In total, over 150 guests attended and speeches were given by the Mayor of Douala, Cicam (a textile manufacturer and customer,) Kevin Foo, Chairman of Victoria Oil and Gas and His Excellency Ndinga Ndanga, Minister for Industry, Mines & Technology. |

Television & press numbered approximately 50 and many interviews took place with our team and the Cameroon Government. The wide spread published level of support pledged by the Minister & the Governor has raised the profile of our project even further across Cameroon to potential customers and stakeholders. |

Excavation for the pipeline route of way commenced on the 11th June at the Logababa site. The trenching team are working 7 days a week and up to 20 hours per day. Our construction plan includes shoring of all trenches deeper than 1.2 meters and the use of temporary drainage and pumps to keep the pipeline route clear of water. |

The Company also commenced work on the production trees and baseline caliper logs.
This work will be complete at the end of June. |
